Fine Free September

All Month Long: September 1-30

Do you have overdue library items at home or have you returned items late? Have you been concerned about the fines you have accumulated?

Worry no more! Return any overdue materials, and we will waive any fines during Library Card Sign Up month. 

​

This applies to materials that are overdue by a week, two months, or even two years. Two decades? That’s okay too! Just bring them back! This includes most items checked out from the library: books, audiobooks, music CDs, magazines, DVDs, large print, and more. 

We will not waive fees for lost items, museum passes, or from our Library of Things collection.

Do you have old, overdue fines on your account? Simply present your library card or ID to erase any overdue fines up to $10 from your account.

Can’t find your library card? Visit the library to get a new one for free!

Indoor Storywalk: Featuring The Baddies by Julia Donaldson

Celebrate Halloween with us with a special indoor Storywalk that the whole family can enjoy! Starting October 1 each child will receive a free book while supplies last. This program is in partnership with the Winchendon CFCE.

Join us for our not-too-spooky, sensory-friendly Halloween celebration! Come in your costumes (optional) and enjoy crafts, Halloween-themed stories, including an indoor Storywalk, and more. This is event is designed for individuals who are neurodivergent, on the autism spectrum, or have other special needs, and their families. Noise reducing earmuffs/headphones will be available for use if needed. This program is in partnership with the Winchendon CFCE. 

Kids Halloween Dance Party

Come in costume (optional) and dance the morning away! There will also be snacks and games, and kids will go home with a Halloween goodie bag.
