Fine Free September

All Month Long: September 1-30

Do you have overdue library items at home or have you returned items late? Have you been concerned about the fines you have accumulated?

Worry no more! Return any overdue materials, and we will waive any fines during Library Card Sign Up month. 

​

This applies to materials that are overdue by a week, two months, or even two years. Two decades? That’s okay too! Just bring them back! This includes most items checked out from the library: books, audiobooks, music CDs, magazines, DVDs, large print, and more. 

We will not waive fees for lost items, museum passes, or from our Library of Things collection.

Do you have old, overdue fines on your account? Simply present your library card or ID to erase any overdue fines up to $10 from your account.

Beals Indie Book Fair

Join us for a celebration of literature, creativity, and the diversity of stories being told by local indie authors. The fair is an opportunity for authors to talk about their work, promote and sell their books, learn about the publishing industry, have a space where these authors can engage with fellow writers, and reach a larger audience of potential readers.

Create Your Own Clay Pinch Pot

For Teens & Tweens in Grades 5-12 Limited Space, Registration Required

Join us for a fun clay hand building class with Launchspace! Learn the basics of hand-building with clay while creating your own unique pinch pot. Participants will shape the clay by hand, then add texture, patterns, and simple decorative details to personalize their pieces. Finished pots will be glazed and fired at LaunchSpace and returned approximately three weeks after.
