4th Annual Bookmark Contest
Thursday, April 30 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Calling all artists ages 3-18 years old! The library is seeking creative designs to prepare for the 2026 Summer Reading Club by designing a bookmark that reflects this year's theme of "Plant a Seed, Read." Submit your original artwork: April 29 - June 11 Winning bookmarks will be announced at the Summer Reading Club Kick Off Party Thursday, June 18 at 2:00 pm. Winners will also get a special prize courtesy of the Friends of the Library.  All entries will be displayed at the library and the winning designs will be printed and distributed. ​ Entry forms are available at the library or can be downloaded below!

Check out a DVD or Blue-Ray video during the month of May and earn a chance to win two tickets to Gardner Cinema! This event is open for the WHOLE family to enjoy.

Join us as local author Catherine Zebrowski discusses her new memoir. Get a peak into process of writing a memoir and as Catherine shares her inspiration, creative journey, and the emotions behind writing this personal story. About Me Fran and the Shadow man: Me Fran and the Shadow man is a love letter to a brother who died too soon, a remembrance of a small town neighborhood in the 1960’s and scenes from the vibrant and changing city of Worcester, Massachusetts in the 1970’s as two adolescents make their way toward adulthood. The memoir uses insight, both comic and tragic, to contemplate her brother’s short life and celebrate Worcester State where she attended college in the 1970’s.
